Dictionary says: Rei·ki /ˈrākē/noun - literally ‘universal life energy’.
 
1. a healing technique originated in Japan based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
 
The Cleveland Clinic Defines it as - Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
