What is Hypnosis, Exactly?
Hypnosis by definition is; a Heightened State of Suggestibility.
Nothing more, nothing less!
Suggestibility is an individual's predisposition to accept suggestions while in a
highly focused open minded state.
Although hypnosis has been practiced for centuries, stigmas exist regarding this highly effective practice, as well as misconceptions. It's normal to fear what we do not fully understand. But Knowledge is Power!
Hypnosis is NOT a bad word. It is NOT Manipulation, and it DOES NOT interfere
with an individual's religion or spirituality.
During a session, the client is always aware, awake and in control. Self-hypnosis (self-suggestion) is another form of hypnosis.
Hypnosis is NOT be confused with Sleep or Meditation.
It's actually a very normal and frequent state of mind. Just about anyone can be hypnotized, or may have already experienced hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a common occurrence and happens most often when we are driving.
Those moments when we've driven and missed our exit, or maybe don't remember having driven a stretch of road at all; that's hypnosis.
Also when we perform a task instinctively, without recollection, like brushing our teeth staring at the mirror, or when we daydream.
